Dokument Zásady urbánní politiky ČR (ZUP) z roku 2017 vyžaduje vstupy od mnoha aktérů na mezinárodní i národní i místní úrovni, aby byl dostatečně aktuální a všeobecně konsenzuální i prakticky využitelný pro česká města a další subjekty i do dalších let. Nejvýznamnějším dokumentem z úrovně EU, který by se měl v nové verzi ZUP odrazit, je tzv. Nová lipská charta.

The document Principles of Urban Policy of the Czech Republic (ZUP) from 2017 requires input from many actors at the international and national and local levels in order to be sufficiently current and generally consensual and practically usable for Czech cities and other entities in the years to come. The most important document from the EU level that should be reflected in the new version of the ZUP is the so-called New Leipzig Charter.
