Abstract
More than 37,000 animal and plant species are protected by CITES meaning a significant burden for enforcement officers. We aimed to identify mammalian taxa and goods of mammalian origin that are most frequently traded and, thus, most frequently inspected and identified by relevant authorities in the EU.
