Příspěvek obsahuje zamyšlení a zhodnocení možností získávání relevantních statistických dat o cestovním ruchu na regionální úrovni, to z pohledu zodpovědného subjektu za sběr, analýzu a vyhodnocení těchto dat a z pohledu použité metodiky. Poptávka po datech na regionální úrovni a po jejich následné interpretaci stoupá, neboť tyto informace mají schopnost podpořit kvalifikované rozhodování o investicích do cestovního ruchu, o cílech finanční podpory jak ze státních, unijních či mezinárodních zdrojů, o cílech podpory jednotlivých regionů v integrovaných plánech rozvoje území, atd.

The article contains a consideration and evaluation of the possibilities how to obtain relevant statistics of tourism at the regional level. It is focus on the subject which can be responsible for the data collection, analysis and its evaluation regarding used metodology. Demand after the data at the regional level and after its interpretation increases. This information is able to support qualified decisions about the investments in tourism, about the objectives which can be supported by state, union and international resources, about other objectives included in the integrated plans of development of territories.
