Cílem příspěvku je zhodnotit současné využití železniční dopravy v cestovním ruchu v České republice a uvést konkrétní příklady přispívající k diverzifikaci účastníků cestovního ruchu do atraktivních oblastí. Obliba vlaků stoupá v době ekonomické recese, kdy se méně létá a v době rostoucích cen ropných paliv, kdy se méně využívá osobní automobilová doprava.
In English
The article aids to assessing the current usage of railway transport in tourism in the Czech Republic and at giving specific examples which help to diversify tourists into attractive regions. Train services are in vogue both in times of economic recession which affects adversely air transportation, and in times of rising oil prices which affect road transportation.
