V České republice dochází v posledních letech k prohlubování disparit vznikajících lidskou činností v ekonomickém, sociálním a ekologickém rozvoji regionů a správních center s jejich okolím. Jednou z možností, jak je možné tyto disparity zmírňovat, je rozvoj vnitřního (domácího a příjezdového) cestovního ruchu v oblastech s vhodným potenciálem cestovního ruchu. Cestovní ruch přispívá k tvorbě nových pracovních míst, zvyšuje daňovou výtěžnost či zlepšuje životní úroveň rezidentů.

In the recent years the Czech Republic has experienced increasing disparities in the economical, social and ecological development of regions and administrative centres and their vicinity due to human activities. One possible way of alleviating the mentioned disparities is inner (domestic and incoming) tourism development in suitable selected areas of individual regions. Tourism contributes to the creation of new work places, increases tax utilization rate and improves life standard of residents.
