Prerequisites
The student should know the basics of corporate finance by completing the subject "Corporate Finance", especially the issue of the time factor in corporate financial management.

Course objectives
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the basic theoretical and practical principles of corporate financial management with a focus on investment decision-making and long-term financing.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to: 1. Understand the basic principles of long-term financial management. 2. Understand the importance of investment decision-making in the corporate governance. 3. Carry out a complete evaluation of the economic effectiveness of investment projects using selected criteria. 4. To reflect the impact of inflation and risks in the economic evaluation of investment projects. 5. Evaluate the suitability of individual sources of funding investment projects. 6. Understand different approaches to capital structure optimization Undertaking. 7. To optimize the capital structure of a concrete enterprise.

  • Basics of financial management and decision-making. Conflict of interests of managers and shareholders, costs of representation. Basics of financial management and decision-making. Conflict of interest of managers and shareholders, Representation costs
  • Basic principles of working capital and current asset management (inventories, receivables, cash)
  • Introduction to investment decision-making and identification of cash flows from investments
  • Survey of cost and financial methods of evaluating the effectiveness of investments
  • The effect of inflation and taxation on the evaluation of investment
  • Risk and uncertainty in investment decision-making
  • Basic financial resources for financing investments
  • Cost of capital and average cost of capital of an enterprise
  • Optimization of the capital structure of the enterprise
  • Basic methods of valuation of an enterprise and its assets. Efficient Market Theory
  • Company dividend policy and its impact on the market value of the company
