Course objectives
The aim of the course Final State Exam Seminar is to draw students' attention to the most important provisions of legal norms and internal regulations related to the Final State Exam; to acquaint students with the conditions of graduation, submission of the final qualification thesis, and registration for the Final State Exam; to inform about the exam topics of the Final State Exam; to introduce the organizational preparation, the actual course, and evaluation of the Final State Exam; and to draw attention to possible difficulties and problems of graduation, including the Filan State Exam (issues of ethics and etiquette, plagiarism, etc.).
Learning outcomes (in Czech)
Knowledge: The student can present knowledge related to legal regulations (laws, decrees, ISO standards) governing the processing of professional text and graduation from university.
Abilities: The student can choose an appropriate topic of the final qualification, which corresponds to the profile of the graduate of the study program, select sufficient appropriate literature and information resources and apply appropriate methods to successfully achieve the aim and verification, respectively falsification of hypotheses.
Skills: The student can assess the risks that must be eliminated to complete university studies.
Syllabus
  • 1. Act on Higher Education Institutions No. 111/1998 Coll., and its amendments.
  • 2. Principles of elaboration of final qualification theses at the IHM and problems of plagiarism.
  • 3. Final State Exam in the conditions of the IHM from the point of view of internal regulations.
  • 4. Analysis of topics for the Final State Exam.
  • 5. Organization of Final State Exam at the IHM.
  • 6. Proper completion of studies at the university.
