Course objectives
To acquaint students with the system of tourism in the Czech Republic and abroad, the basic types and forms of tourism and conditions of their development. Further clarify the economic, social, ecological, geographical and other related industries and tourism economy. Also, familiarize students with the various tourism services. At the end of the course, students will be able to: understand and explain the importance of tourism in the economy of the Czech Republic, Europe and around the world; use information about basic statistical data and information on tourism
Syllabus
  • Introduction to the study of tourism typologies of tourism. Leisure, motivation to participate in tourism. Prerequisites of tourism development: selective localization, implementation. The history of tourism in the Czech Republic and abroad; Tourism services from the marketing point of view; Accommodation and food services; Transport services; Guide promises; Financial services (credit, insurance); Other tourism services (passport, visa, customs, health, information); Spa and wellness CRU MICE (incentiovní convention and tourism); Other forms of tourism; Current problems of the CR.
