Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The subject is practically focused, it provides a theoretical and methodological basis for effective communication and presentation of one's own opinions as a basis for managing and leading people in an organization. The goal is to prepare students for various types of communication in practice, so that they understand the basic principles of communication and are able to convincingly present the results of their work using modern presentation techniques. Appropriate skills and habits will be shaped in exercises in the form of micro-excursions with analysis, enabling feedback and allowing participants to immediately analyze their own communication errors and gain the necessary routine.

  • • Theory of communication, communication process, types of communication and communication barriers.
  • • Social perception, social and relational schemas, assertiveness, errors and deficiencies in perception.
  • • Verbal and non-verbal communication.
  • • Analysis of paraverbal elements of communication.
  • • Public speech, basic attributes of a positive effect on listeners.
  • • Communication skills, handling criticism and stress.
  • • Communication environment, communication climate, communication forms and channels of action.
  • • Principles of managerial communication, management and leadership of people.
  • • Basic methodological attributes of a quality presentation, targeting and structuring of the presentation.
  • • Technical means and infrastructure for presentations, typologies and methods of use
  • • Electronic presentations – technical aspects, optimal layout and visualization.
  • • Intercultural aspects of positive impact in presentations and communication.
  • • Evaluation and self-evaluation mechanisms of the communication process, new trends in communication.
