Course objectives
The aim of this course is to get students acquainted with the role of economic diplomacy and, in particular, to provide course participants with practical knowledge of the use of economic diplomacy services and state export support tools for the needs of the business sector. The subject will include the history of economic diplomacy and an overview of its current system in the Czech Republic. An insight into the research of foreign markets and international economic activities will also be covered. The main focus of the course will be the system of state support for exports, its instruments and services, including state support for trade financing, participation in exhibitions and fairs, as well as G2G and B2G relations, foreign economic policy instruments and other services.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will gain an overview of the scope of the Czech economic diplomacy activities and orientation in the system of state export support, including relevant products and services available to the business sector. In this context, students will be able to use the acquired knowledge for the benefit of an export-oriented company.
