- Course objectives
- The course MAE18 has been designed to introduce students to key dimensions of international business and trade. It covers the issues of globalization, effects of political, cultural, legal and economic differences in world trade, international trade theory, government influence on the world trade pattern, the international monetary system, various forms of international business organizations and economic integration. It discusses the methods used in international trade such as exporting, importing, joint ventures and foreign direct investment. • • The course introduces students to the international perspective of business environment reflecting the fact that managers must adapt their approaches to take account of the strong international competition, which is increasingly apparent in today's globalized world.
- Learning outcomes
- Upon completion of the course, students should be able to appreciate the nature of international business and impact of globalization, understand the issues of cross-national economic cooperation and analyze international business strategies. Students will acquire knowledge of the determinants of trade, direct investment and various forms of collaborative arrangements

- Final exam assessment method: Written test. The test consists of 50 questions, 50% plus of correct answers is needed to pass.
