- Course objectives
- 1. An introduction a. credit conditions (presentation, actualities, attendance) b. International business I. – definition, division, basic terms 2. International business II. – tariffs barriers to trade, non-tariff barriers to trade, division 3. International commodity market – goods 4. International commodity market – services 5. Economic integration and its connections with international market (stages of the economic integration, its characteristics, subjects of the economic integration) 6. Main subjects of international economic relations 7. Main subjects of the business policy – WTO (terminology, history background, organizational structure, main principles) 8. Main subjects of the business policy – EU (terminology, history background, organizational structure, main principles) 9. Actual trends in international economic relation development and a globalization impact 10. An international comparison of the business environment (comparative advantage, characteristics of the international business environment, concurrence of the international environment) 11. International institution in international business (division and function of the institutions) 12. Entrepreneurial environment in the Czech Republic

- Teaching methods (in Czech)
- Individual work is based on two activities – a presentation about an institution influencing international business environment and a news article presentation dealing with the topic of economic integration or international business. The students usually work by two (depending on the group size). The aim of both activities is adoption of presentation skills and demonstration of the fact, that international business is taking place on the everyday principles and that this process is very dynamic.
