Course objectives (in Czech)
The bachelor thesis seminar is the student's ability to present knowledge related to legislative and other standards (laws, regulations, ISO standards), and regulating the processing of professional text. Furthermore, the aim is to prepare the student to use the knowledge of the methodology of scientific work, especially sociological and marketing research. The student can choose an appropriate topic for his bachelor thesis and select sufficient appropriate literature and information sources. The student can apply the techniques of processing the bachelor thesis, especially the appropriate use of IT, school information system, available electronic databases.
Learning outcomes (in Czech)
Knowledge: Students will gain basic knowledge about writing a professional text concerning the bachelor thesis, including citations standards, scope, and structure of the final thesis at the university.
Abilities: After graduation, the student can independently elaborate a professional text, define the correct aims of the work, work with the literature and draw conclusions leading to the expansion of knowledge of the researched topic.
Skills: Students will gain skills to work on the preparation of the final thesis. These are mainly independent research, work with literature, and interpretation of scientific texts.

  • 1. The process of selection, approval, management, processing, defense, and archiving of the bachelor thesis.
  • 2. Methods of scientific work - logical, exact, sociological, comparative, etc.
  • 4. Ethics of scientific work. Work with literature and information sources, citations, copyright law.
  • 5. Fundamental errors in the elaboration of the bachelor thesis, duties, and rights of the student, supervisor, and opponent of the bachelor thesis.

Students will submit a research proposal to the dissertation advisor to receive credit for the seminar.
